THOMAS CURTIS (1659–1738), son of Richard Curtis and Ann Hallett
MARY COOKE (1676–1793), daughter of William Cooke and Mary Unknown
Thomas Curtis was born on 18 March 1659 in Scituate. [1] He died on 3 January 1738 in Scituate. [2] He married first Mary Cooke on 6 March 1694/5 in Scituate. [3] He married second Mary Guilford on 19 September 1711 in Scituate. [2]
Mary, the daughter of William and Mary Cook and wife of Thomas Curtis, was born in July 1676 in Scituate. [4] Mary, the wife of Thomas, died in June 1703 in Scituate. [2]
Thomas, the son of Richard, settled on a tract of land in Scituate called Egypt, where he had a house in 1693. [5]
Thomas Curtis was granted land in Scituate on 6 April 1695 and 6 and 8 May 1699 in right of [his grandfather] John Hallett and the right of John Hore. [6]
Children of Thomas Curtis and Mary Cooke:
i. Deborah Curtis was born on 17 February 1697 in Scituate. [1]
ii. Ruth Curtis was born on 19 April 1699 in Scituate. [1] Ruth, the daughter of Thomas, died in 1708 in Scituate. [2]
iii. Mary Curtis was born on 6 March 1701/2 in Scituate. [1]
iv. Thomas Curtis was born on 5 March 1703/4 in Scituate. He married Ruth Wade.
Children of Thomas Curtis and Mary Guildford:
v. Ruth Curtis was born on 24 February 1711/2 in Scituate. [1] She married Benjamin Stoddard, Jr. on 24 November 1737 in Scituate. [3] Benjamin, the son of Benjamin and Mary Stoddard, was born on 18 November 1708 in Scituate. [7]
